"When we were delivered incorrect cables for our shop's register system, we went on a wild goose chase to find the correct cables. Apparently, they are a special order item that aren't sold anywhere and wouldn't be delivered to our shop in time for our grand opening. They didn't have the particular cable in stock, but were able to look up the correct configurations of corresponding pins and he MADE me two cables by hand. One day I received a call out of nowhere (a cold call as they say) from a sales man. Now i don’t get too many of these but when I do it is usually someone who is selling something that has no relation to my business. On this day it was Bill Calkins on the other end of the line. Being very busy I am sure I was quite short with Bill but he persevered explaining that he does indeed have cables, and adapters and the like that I could use in my industry. I mentioned who I was using at the time and too my surprise Bill came back with better pricing and to be sure a more personal customer service level than I was receiving at the time. In all honestly I have not looked back and now use Compatible Cable nearly exclusively. Orders arrive complete and timely and I always welcome a call from Mr. Calkins.
